“How would you vote in a future referendum if the question were ‘should Scotland be an independent country?’”, 2014 – Present day

After the Scottish Referendum in September 2014, Yes support gradually declined in representative polls until early 2018, when it started rising again to overtake No in early 2020. Looking at an average of all published polls since 2019, Yes support is 52% and No support is 48%.9 This is close to twice the average level of support for independence in the decade leading up to the 2012 Edinburgh Agreement.
