Building back together

It is hard to overstate the effect of the pandemic on younger generations. Between February 2020 and February this year, net employment fell by 693,000 jobs. Of those, 611,000 – nearly 9 in every 10 jobs lost – were among employees aged 18-35 years old. The disruption to schooling has led to the loss of millions of hours of learning, much will never be recovered.

This event explored how we can use civil society to support young people to overcome the challenges posed by coronavirus through civic service.
