Good afternoon,

We are looking forward to welcoming you to tomorrow’s event, R&D for Global Good: How UK R&D can deliver global public goods for the benefit of Britain and the world, held in partnership with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the Science & Industry Museum of Manchester.

The UK has been a leader in many areas of research that generate global goods – most recently in the development of effective COVID-19 vaccines. But across the world,  there is a pressing need for more R&D investment to support the poorest and most vulnerable.  This event, led by Rt Hon Andrew Mitchell MP,  will discuss the role R&D could play in this country and around the world today.
