Restitch: The Social Fabric Summit

“People, place and little platoons in a post pandemic world”
A summit over two days, at Church House in London and at the Piece Hall in Halifax.
The programme will gather together leading thinkers, policy makers and community leaders to discuss how to repair society and rebuild our sense of belonging after the pandemic.

We want to do something different with Restitch. The programme will be both local and global, relevant to politics and rooted in practice, of both left and right and everything besides. We want to showcase inspirational civic leadership and innovation alongside provocative and original thinkers, and convene a community of people capable of restitching our social fabric in local neighbourhoods as well as national legislatures.
It will be hosted in London on the 24th May and Halifax on the 27th May, with optional themed tours before each the event days.
Some of the topics will include:
- The dignity of labour: How can we generate good work in poor places?
- Left behind or well placed: Can remote working revive ‘left behind’ towns?
- What places make people happy: Can planning support more connected, happier neighbourhoods?
We hope you can join us, either online or in person. Please do sign up to receive updates and to be alerted when registrations open.
Attendance at the summit is free of charge thanks to our generous sponsors:
