Coming up at Onward

Good afternoon,
I am delighted to invite you to an upcoming event discussing When Innovation systems work: what can the UK’s response to the pandemic teach us about wider science and technology policy? This event will be held in a Central Westminster location from 14.00pm to 15.00pm.
We will be joined by George Freeman MP, Minister for Science, Research and Innovation, Baroness Blackwood, Chair of Genomics England, Dr Amanda Lamb, Chief Operations Officer at the Pandemic Institute and Dr Lorna Meldrum, Vice President of International Markets and Pandemic Response at Seqirus.
This event will consider what lessons we can draw from the institutions and networks that successfully mobilised to fight the pandemic, and how we can learn from them in other sectors of the economy. This will include discussion of the role of ARIA, to ensure it fulfils its potential as the engine of innovative, high risk research, and consider the wider questions posed by the Nurse Review.
