DIRECTOR

WILL TANNER

Will Tanner advised the Prime Minister Theresa May between 2013 and 2017, as a Special Adviser in the Home Office and as Deputy Head of Policy in 10 Downing Street. He has also previously worked for the leading communications firm, Portland, and for the independent thinktank, Reform.

SIAN HANSEN

Sian Hansen spent a decade leading two of Britain’s largest thinktanks, serving as Managing Director of Policy Exchange for seven years before working as Executive Director of the Legatum Institute between 2013 and 2016. She now has a portfolio career, as a non-executive director, adviser and board member for a number of private and philanthropic organisations.

SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW

GUY MISCAMPBELL

Guy is a Senior Research Fellow with Onward. He is also a senior consultant at WPI. He has previously worked for the Ontario Public Service, Policy Exchange, the Institute on Municipal Finance and Governance, and in the U.S. House of Representatives. He has a Masters of Public Policy from the University of Toronto, where he was a Cadario scholar.

JAMES BLAGDEN

James Blagden joined Onward in 2018 and now works as a researcher specialising in data analysis and mapping. He has previously studied at the University of Southampton and University of Reading, and holds a Masters degree in Public Policy.

TED CHRISTIE-MILLER

Ted Christie-Miller joined Onward in January 2019. Previously, he worked in the Public Policy Unit at Instinctif Partners. He graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2018 with a Masters degree in History.

KATIE FAIRCLOUGH

Katie Fairclough previously worked as the assistant social secretary to the UK Ambassador in Washington D.C. She has worked on various political campaigns in the United States and has experience working on Capitol Hill. Katie hold’s a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

DIGITAL AND COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

LAURA EMILY DUNN

Laura Emily Dunn is an experienced digital and communications professional, with a background of working in the private, public and non-profit sectors. Laura has worked in the US House of Representatives, UK Parliament and the National Assembly for Wales, and as a digital advisor on a number of General Election, Assembly, leadership and local election campaigns. She advises businesses and individuals on digital strategy and content and is a regular media commentator on political and digital issues.
